What We Do
Only Notts CIC is a trauma-informed music studio in Nottingham City Centre. We work with young people aged 8 to 18 who are in care or at risk. They come to us and get free, professional music sessions worth £50 an hour, where they build production and songwriting skills alongside carers and mentors.
But it's not just music. Every session embeds psychoeducation: body mapping, meditation, reflective journaling, and narrative therapy. We work proactively and preventatively, stepping in early before crises escalate. Young people also get access to free private therapy when they need it.
In our first three months, we delivered over 30 sessions. We've run projects with Nottinghamshire Police and are in talks with Public Health England. We're self-funded and growing, but the demand is already bigger than what we can reach. That's where you come in.
