Role Description
Only Notts CIC is developing an app to gamify the creative process of songwriting and music-making. The aim is to help young people stay consistent with their creative practice outside of studio sessions in a fun, engaging and accessible way.
The app is already in a beta stage, but we are looking for volunteers with an interest in technology, app development, web development, UX/UI, computer science, coding or digital product design to help improve it.
This role may be especially suitable for computer science students, tech students, self-taught developers or anyone looking to build real-world experience on a meaningful social impact project.
This Role May Involve
Supporting app and website development
Helping test and improve the current beta version
Suggesting new features to support young people's creativity
Improving user experience and design
Fixing bugs or improving functionality
Helping turn creative ideas into practical digital tools
Working with the team to make the app simple, safe and engaging
Flexible Team Approach
Although each role has a specific focus, Only Notts CIC is a team effort. Once you are part of the organisation, you do not have to stay in only one area. Volunteers may support other parts of the CIC when needed, depending on their skills, interests and availability.
For example, someone joining as a Content & Media Volunteer may also help at fundraising events. Someone joining as an Events & Fundraising Volunteer may also help with outreach or admin. We want people to grow with the organisation and find the area where they can make the biggest impact.
