Role Description

The Events & Fundraising Volunteer will help create, organise and deliver fundraising ideas for Only Notts CIC. This is a key role because we are still in the early stages and do not yet have long-term funding in place.

This role is ideal for someone creative, organised and confident speaking to people. You may help plan music events, quizzes, bake sales, arts and crafts fundraisers, raffles, street fundraising activities, "guess the song" challenges, spin-the-wheel stalls or collaborations with local businesses and artists.

You may also help train and coordinate fundraisers, manage event logistics and come up with new ways to raise money while building community support.

This Role May Involve

Planning fundraising events and activities

Contacting local businesses, artists, venues and musicians

Helping organise raffles, quizzes, music events and street fundraising

Supporting on-the-day event setup and delivery

Managing volunteers or fundraisers during events

Coming up with creative fundraising ideas

Helping track money raised and report impact clearly

Flexible Team Approach

Although each role has a specific focus, Only Notts CIC is a team effort. Once you are part of the organisation, you do not have to stay in only one area. Volunteers may support other parts of the CIC when needed, depending on their skills, interests and availability.

For example, someone joining as a Content & Media Volunteer may also help at fundraising events. Someone joining as an Events & Fundraising Volunteer may also help with outreach or admin. We want people to grow with the organisation and find the area where they can make the biggest impact.

What We Offer

Trauma-informed training

Experience supporting a new local CIC from the ground up

Opportunities to build real-world skills in music, youth work, fundraising, media, events, tech or operations

References for future paid roles where appropriate

A creative, mission-driven team environment

The chance to make a genuine difference for young people in care or at risk in Nottingham
