Events & Fundraising Volunteer
Join the Only Notts event team, help us raise money and represent the CIC at events across Nottingham, then enjoy the rest of the event once your volunteering slot is finished.
How It Works
Most shifts are around 2–3 hours at an event. You might help run a fundraising stand, speak to people, support games and activities, sell raffle tickets, collect donations, help with setup or represent Only Notts.
Once your volunteering slot is finished, you can usually stay and enjoy the rest of the event. At many events, volunteers may also receive staff or VIP-style access, depending on the venue and event.
We aim to build a busy calendar with multiple opportunities each week. You choose the events that fit your availability. If there is no event on, there may also be other suitable Only Notts tasks you can help with.
What You Might Do
Run fundraising stalls, raffles, games and Spin the Wheel activities
Speak to members of the public about Only Notts CIC
Help collect donations and encourage people to get involved
Support event setup, pack-down and general organisation
Help contact venues, businesses, artists or event partners
Support other volunteers and the Only Notts team on the day
Come up with new fundraising and event ideas
Help with other suitable Only Notts tasks between events if you want to

Who We’re Looking For
Friendly, reliable people who are happy to get involved. Previous events or fundraising experience is useful, but it is not required.
There are front-facing roles for confident people who enjoy speaking to the public, as well as behind-the-scenes tasks for people who would rather help with setup, organisation or practical support.
Events & Fundraising volunteers are part of the wider Only Notts volunteer team, so our normal volunteer rules, expectations and safeguarding standards still apply.
