Role Description

The Funding & Operations Volunteer will help with the practical and administrative work that keeps Only Notts CIC running. This is one of the most important roles in the early stages of the CIC because we are actively seeking funding to keep the service free for young people.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, confident with writing, good with documents, interested in charity work, or looking to build experience in fundraising, grant writing, project coordination or social impact work.

You do not need to know everything already — we are looking for someone reliable, thoughtful and willing to learn.

This Role May Involve

Supporting grant and bid writing

Helping collect evidence, testimonials, feedback and impact data

Supporting recruitment and volunteer onboarding

Helping organise training documents, forms and processes

Keeping spreadsheets, documents and folders updated

Supporting general admin and communication

Helping turn impact data into reports for funders and partners

Flexible Team Approach

Although each role has a specific focus, Only Notts CIC is a team effort. Once you are part of the organisation, you do not have to stay in only one area. Volunteers may support other parts of the CIC when needed, depending on their skills, interests and availability.

For example, someone joining as a Content & Media Volunteer may also help at fundraising events. Someone joining as an Events & Fundraising Volunteer may also help with outreach or admin. We want people to grow with the organisation and find the area where they can make the biggest impact.

What We Offer

Trauma-informed training

Experience supporting a new local CIC from the ground up

Opportunities to build real-world skills in music, youth work, fundraising, media, events, tech or operations

References for future paid roles where appropriate

A creative, mission-driven team environment

The chance to make a genuine difference for young people in care or at risk in Nottingham
